Welcome to Shiner Animal Hospital

Shiner Animal Hospital is a full-service, mixed animal veterinary practice that has proudly served Shiner, Texas, and the surrounding areas since 1996. Originally founded by Dr Dan Stafford, SAH was purchased by Dr Stafford's associate, Dr Tom Bays, in January 2020. Shiner Animal Hospital offers general examinations, advanced diagnostics, medical treatment, surgical procedures, dental care, and emergency services for a variety of pets and livestock. We strive to provide high-quality and compassionate care for all of our patients and consistent value and communication for our clients.

For the convenience of our small animal clients, we own Shiner Bark, a dedicated boarding a grooming facility for both dogs and cats. For the convenience of our livestock clients, we have a fully-equipped vet truck and can provide farm calls if needed. For the convenience of our equine clients, we own Veterinary Rapid Laboratory, a USDA-accredited Equine Infectious Anemia "Coggins" lab, which offers quick and consistent Coggins test results.
