​​Dr. Thomas Bays, DVM - Veterinarian
Tom Bays grew up in Maple Hill, Kansas. After high school graduation, he followed the Flint Hills to Manhattan, Kansas to pursue his education. Dr. Bays received his undergraduate degree from Kansas State University in 2004. Upon graduation, he decided to continue his education in the "little apple". In 2008, Tom received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University, EMAW! In the summer of 2008, Dr. Bays moved to Texas and began his practice at Shiner Animal Hospital. Since then, he has become a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the Society of Theriogenology. Dr. Bays married his wife Angela in September 2010. Outside of work, Tom enjoys running and spending time with his children Ryan, Eli and Agatha (Aggie). Dr. Bays is still an avid K-State Alumni, and waves his Wildcat flag proudly on game days.

Dr. Shannon Puype, DVM
Shannon Puype was raised in Bulverde, Texas along with her two younger sisters. Shannon received her bachelors in animal science in 2015 from Tarleton State. She decided to continue her education at Ross University on the island of St. Kitts. After completing her clinical year at Oklahoma State, she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from RUSVM in May 2019. Upon graduation, Shannon will move back to Texas and begin practicing at the Shiner Animal Hospital. While she enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, Shannon especially enjoys working with horses and livestock. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, visiting friends and family, and spending time with her horse, Lizzy and dog, Paisley.
